Customer Review: You won't die of Carbon Monoxide

This is a great heater,and safer to use than driving to the store for a gallon of milk. If you are worried about dying from carbon monoxide, and that's your thing, don't buy a ventless heater. But if you want to stay warm on a cold day, or want emergency backup heat when the power goes out, this is an excellent choice. If you read the website about carbon monoxide deaths, please note that it is written about Coleman heaters and at the end it mentions that there are safe heaters available that shut down on low oxygen. This is one of them. Also, if you check out the Mr. Heater website, you will learn that this is a variant of heaters that are approved by most building codes for permanent installation in houses, including bedrooms.

Mr. Buddy propane heater has been very reliable and safe. I use this heater in the family room with a 20 Gal propane tank. The heater is able to kick up the room temperature enough to feel extra comfortable. I would not advise using the heater in a small room space due to CO2 displacement. My home is 3000 Sq Ft so the rooms are spacious. This heater is perfect for my application. Whats nice is that the heater is mobile and I can move it from room to room depending on where the family is sitting. Once piece of advise... when you are finished using the heater for the day, store the heater outside the house. A garage is perfect for this.Customer Review: Highly Recommended

This heater is the best I have ever owned. It provides plenty of heat and is cheap to run costing less than 18 cents an hour using a 20lb cylinder (thats on low setting 4000 btu). I read conflicting reviews concerning wether or not a filter was needed. I would like to clear this up once and for all. The manufacture does recommend in the owners manual to use a filter when operating from a 20lb cylinder. The cost is 10 dollars and includes shipping. I have not ordered or used this filter so I cannot say how it operates. I bought the heater for use in an RV who's furnace was broke, I needed something quicker than furnace repairs allowed so tried this with skepticism. I didn't think this single heater would be able to keep up. Although it's only a 25-ft RV, it was in farily cold climate and this heater kept it more than warm. It worked just as advertised. The only draw back it has is there's no thermostat so it's on or off, which they make clear in their advertising. I've only used it one weekend so can't comment on longevity, but I can say the first time it performed exaclty as it says it will.Customer Review: Portable Heat

I use this in a hunting blind as well as camping. Its great for quick heat. Used it in 25 degree weather in a tent. In about a minute the unit had to be turned down and turned off in 5 minutes due to the heat. I'm not sure if I trust the low oxygen sensor so I would leave a window open in what every you use it in. The unit does not have an internal fan. I have owned this for about 6 months. I purchased the refurb with no problems. Best part is the low odor or none. Highly recommend for those power outage locations.
