We live in Northern Maine and had a real problem keeping the back side of our house warm. This heater has been wonderful for us. It is effective, very portable, heats the room quickly, there is no odor, it's easy to use, we have yet to use the high setting as it quickly heats the room on medium and maintains it on low. For the price, it was much better then 3 different electric heaters we tried. The biggest draw back is that we have to use the small 1 pound tanks and change them regularly.Customer Review: A wonderful little heater

I ordered this heater for my Mom and Dad after their power was off for over 10 hours after the big snow storm the day after Christmas in Virginia. We already have one and have used it often over the 4 years we have had it. They received it less than a week later and were surprised at the small size, how easy it was to operate, and how much heat it actually produced. They are really happy with it and know the next time the power is off they have a way to keep warm.Customer Review: Love it!

We bought a little buddy, single bottle unit, years ago and it is still chugging along. We wanted something bigger and this is perfect! Puts out lots of heat and we haven't used the fan option yet. The bottles are easy to load in. We have used it on high and it goes thru the propane faster, of course, than med or low. Easy to light and easy to use.
Update: We bought a second one to double up because this heater is so good.

I'm using the product to heat my garage -- it takes about two hours to raise the temperature 10 - 20 degrees (depending on the outside temperature). I am using it with a single large (the ones you use for a gas grill) LP tank. It just runs and runs.
I have only used it on high and a couple of times, so for a long-term review -- I'm not really helpful.
Only negative is the smell that it gives off.

We borrowed a Big Buddy heater during the 2009 ice storm. Big Buddy kept the front rooms comfortably warm. Being without power for three weeks because most of the power lines, poles and transformers were broken from the weight of the ice, it was time to order one of our own from Amazon. This was the best price anywhere. Hooking the unit to our BBQ grill propane tank with an adaptor hose saved dollars on fuel.
